Coaches are a very important part of a team and team owners do take care of them by paying them a hefty amount in salaries. Here is a list of 6 Highest paid coaches of IPL.

6. V.V.S Laxman

Salary: 2 crores INR

In IPL 2013, he was appointed as a mentor for Sunrisers Hyderabad Team and since then he hasn’t moved to any other team. And rightly so. SRH are a formidable team with an extremely balanced side that can demolish any team. Plus – what a super move to bring in the 2 Afghan boys – Rashid and Nabi – Well done Laxman.

5. Mahela Jayewardene

Mahela Jayewardene replaced Ricky Ponting as the coach for Mumbai Indians in 2017. And boy wasn’t that the right call from Nita Ambani and gang. Mumbai Indians won the 2017 IPL under the guidance of Sri Lankan legend.

The original coach – Stephen Fleming is associated with CSK since the start of IPL in 2008. He was a player first and after retirement he was appointed as a coach of CSK in 2009. He had a very successful stint with the team winning the IPL 2010, CLT20 2010, IPL 2011 and IPL 2018. Much like CSK’s core team that remains unchanged – Dhoni, Raina, Jadeja, Bravo and Fleming – you just can not imagine CSK without these players.

2. Ricky Ponting

After leaving Mumbai Indians as a mentor he was assigned as the head coach of Delhi Capitals (formerly Daredevils) in 2018.  Ponting charges a whopping salary of 3.6 for mentoring the young Delhi team. Yes – You read that right – Ashish Nehra stands as the Highest paid coach in IPL. He draws a hefty fee of 4 CR for training RCB players under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. Quite honestly – it has not been working out and its all been downhill so far. lets see if he and Kohli can bring the team from ashes and provide a miracle – and if you know IPL well – Miracles do happen here.
